New Baby!

Grace Elizabeth Morton
born November 19, 2008 at 4:30 am
5lb 13.5oz 18.5"

This is the outfit Aunt Janae got her

so far she only smiles in her sleep

she has hair.. it's still dark. She has more in the back, like a baby mullet.

They gave her this binky in the hospital. It's her favorite. She has to wear the socks on her hands because they're the only thing small enough to fit so she doesn't scratch her face.

The first time Grandma and Grandpa Morton got to hold her was when she was 3 weeks old because she was hooked up to monitors in the nursery when they came by the hospital.

This is what happens when you don't get the bottle in her mouth fast enough.

This is my arm. I had to have something to compare her to in a picture because she's so small

Baby Grace with Grandma Grace; our namesake.

Grace was born 2.5 weeks early. Her lungs were a little underdeveloped so she had to have a couple chest x-rays, extra blood work and oxygen... not to mention all these monitors they had her hooked up to. She wasn't able to leave the nursery for 3 days, but they let me in to hold her whenever I wanted. They had the tape of her name on her chest because she couldn't always wear the ankle bracelet so they didn't confuse her with any of the other 11 babies in there during her stay. We are sure glad she's healthy and happy now.
